The thing about dark skies, and rainy days is that,
if you wait long enough, the sun will shine again.

It has been 5 weeks since the Malaysian government enforced Movement Control Order; and more than a month since I stepped out of the house. As much as my introverted soul loves it, I must say cabin fever is beginning to set in. The only thing keeping me going, besides cooking (as if I was back in uni, far away from mom’s comfort food), is looking at these happy smiley photos.
Hope everyone is doing well, staying indoors, and keeping sane. I know that it’s tough at the moment, but little by little, we will weather the storm together.
The Kim family was here on Lunar New Year holiday from Australia and Korea. The adorable little boy, and his doting family were just absolute naturals in front of my camera.
your smile is my happy place
Oh these gorgeous littles makes my heart smile! I’ve said it once, and I think I’ll say it over and over again, I absolutely love watching kids grow behind my lens. Clients who entrust me, year after year with capturing beautiful memories, also make my heart sing.
Being a creative is sometimes a lonely journey of self-doubt, and constantly asking myself ‘am I good enough?’; ‘Do they like my photos?’; ‘Will they have me photograph them again?’. After spending an hour or two hanging out with and photographing my families, I feel like I’m also an unofficial member. I’ve been so so blessed by clients who have become friends. <3 You don’t know how happy you’ve made me feel!
Watch them grow: 2017
of pastel pink, beautiful smiles, and love for balloons.
oh... LOVE... Let me tell you about this precious little girl.
I always knew that kids find me entertaining. After almost every shoot, we usually become the best of friends. Oh... the many houses I've been invited to by a 2 or 3 year old. 😍
With this one, we were not even halfway through the session, and she would run up to me, giving me hugs, so generously. I must say, I fell in love.
baby steps… adventure is out there!
Gorgeous sassy little miss O was super fun to photograph! I especially loved how momma just organised a pastel affair for her cake smash session!
After photographing several back to back sessions, running together with them boys, it was really nice to just have a very pleasant morning photographing ladylike giggles over cake!
sometimes boys just need to be boys.
High energy, cheeky and loud laughter, running, running, and more running. This pair of brothers really had me catching my breath as I photographed them. I don’t know how their parents keep up with them!
sometimes being a little sister
is better than being a princess!
ohmyheart!
This pair of siblings were honestly #siblinggoals. It is evident how much big O loved his little sister, and how little O completely adores her big brother!
When little O accidentally poured her bubble solution, big brother came to the rescue. He gave her some of his, even though it meant he didn’t get to play as much. I spent a short 30mins photographing this gorgeous family, and was smitten by the end of the session.
"silly pictures, crazy time, sisters at heart, and partners in crime."
I had the opportunity to photograph Belinda Chee and her multi-talented, gorgeous family. What struck me most was how despite the distance (KL, Kuching, Singapore), the family bond is so strong. The cousins also genuinely enjoy each other’s company.
Cousins make the best of friends!
Ready… set… go….. and these four energiser bunnies took off. A split second later, the oldest boy (who was leading in front), turned around and waited for the youngest one. #ohmyheart. These boys are really the sweetest!
I must admit when I first found out that the session comprised of 4 little boys under 10 years old, I was slightly apprehensive. I was afraid that my legs wouldn’t be able to keep up with them, and that I wouldn’t get photos which tell their personalities. However, after the short walk from the carpark to the park, I knew that we’ll be ok! Honestly, there were so many favourites from this session!
... this is LOVE ...
when you're surrounded by all the hugs and giggles.
Two sisters, so similar, yet so different - one with a very sweet smile, and so very generous with her hugs, the other, full of personality and joyful cheer. The hour spent with this gorgeous family, just whizzed by with lots of giggles and laughter (and also mozzie bites)
